What this website collects, and what the YTFast app reads and sends. Last updated: 8 October 2026.
This website
- No accounts. You cannot sign up or sign in on this site.
- No analytics or advertising. The site loads no tracking scripts and sets no cookies.
- One saved preference. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is never sent anywhere.
- Server logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may record standard request details, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the service running and secure.
If you email us
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your address with anyone.
The YTFast app
This section follows the project's own guide. The source code is public if you want to check it.
- Your browser's sign-in. YTFast reads only YouTube's sign-in from the browser you choose. Every other site's sign-in data is dropped the moment it is read.
- Where the sign-in goes. It stays on your computer and is only ever sent to YouTube.
- Your plays. Songs you play are reported to YouTube, as they are on the website, so they appear in your History.
- Lyrics. When the Lyrics tab is open and YouTube Music has no lyrics that follow the song, YTFast asks LRCLIB (lrclib.net) about the song playing.
- Helper programs. On first run YTFast downloads yt-dlp and Deno and checks both against their published fingerprints.
