About

We build low-power desktop apps in Rust. YTFast, a native app for YouTube Music, is the first.

What we do

We make desktop software that opens at once and costs a computer almost nothing to run. YTFast is our first product: it is free to build yourself, and YTFast Pro, the paid ready-made version, is open for pre-order. See pricing.

We also take on custom apps for companies that want software this light.

Why YTFast exists

Music players used to be some of the lightest programs on a computer. Today most streaming apps are web pages inside a browser, and they use the CPU and memory to match. YTFast rebuilds YouTube Music as a native app that idles at 0% CPU, stays under 200 MB of memory, and starts songs in about a second.

Who is behind it

YTFast is built and run by Likheet Shetty.

It follows the path set by Spotifast, Carmine Paolino's app for Spotify, and is built on fastframe, the same foundation.

Where it stands

YTFast is at its third version, with builds for Windows and Mac.
